Meet Nare
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA, offering a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to support emotional well-being and personal growth, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs and goals.
Seeking therapy is a proactive step towards self-care and personal growth. As a therapist, I provide a non-judgmental, empathic, and safe environment where clients can explore their challenges and work towards positive change.
As a practitioner, I welcome people from all walks of life and recognise that each person’s experiences, identity, culture and background are unique. My approach to therapy is inclusive and sensitive to different lived experiences, values and perspectives. I aim to create a space where you can feel heard, respected and understood, and where we can work collaboratively in a way that feels meaningful and appropriate for you.

Therapy is more than a process we turn to when something feels wrong. It can be a proactive pursuit of inner peace, emotional strength, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of ourselves. At Mind Check, we see therapy as a space to pause, reflect, grow, and build the tools needed to navigate life with greater clarity and resilience. Whether you’re working through a challenge or simply investing in your mental and emotional wellbeing, therapy is an opportunity to check in with yourself, not only when you’re struggling, but because your mind deserves care too.

FAQ
If you're wondering about something that isn't here, please ask. There's no such thing as a silly question.
Send a message through the contact form, on WhatsApp or by phone, and we'll find a time for your first session that suits you, in person or online.
The first session is a gentle getting-to-know-you. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, some of your background and what you'd like to be different. It's also your chance to ask questions about how therapy works. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to.
Yes. Online sessions run over secure video and follow the same approach and fees as in-person sessions in Parkwood. You'll need a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection.
Yes. Mind Check accepts all medical aids, and sessions are charged at medical aid rates. How much your scheme pays back depends on your plan and the benefits you have left, so it's worth a quick check with them before your first session. Some mental health conditions, such as major depression and bipolar mood disorder, fall under Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs), which may cover a limited number of therapy sessions, subject to your scheme's rules.
Yes. Confidentiality is at the heart of therapy and is protected by HPCSA ethical rules and POPIA. There are a few legal and ethical limits: if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, if a child or vulnerable person is at risk of abuse, or if a court orders the release of records. If this ever applies, it would be discussed with you wherever possible.
